HD Horsemanship was founded by Sam Anderson‑Parker to make horse riding accessible to children who often fall between traditional provision, those who don’t fit neatly into mainstream riding schools or RDA centres. Based in Dorset, the business offers inclusive, child‑led equine sessions for young people who are home educated, have special educational needs, or require a more flexible, sensory‑aware environment.

Sam’s vision was clear: create a space where children feel understood, supported and able to progress at their own pace. Sessions focus on confidence building through grooming, sensory activities, calm time with ponies, and riding when the child is ready. With 1:1 or very small groups, SEND‑aware teaching, and carefully matched horses, HD Horsemanship adapts to a wide range of physical, sensory and emotional needs.

The Challenge
